If you ask any artist to name their most prized creation they will generally reply, "my latest one …". The same holds true for whisky.

Our Master Blender, Jim Milne, has during the past thirty years created some of the finest Scotch Whisky blends. He is rightly proud of Royal Silk which is his latest masterpiece.

Fine malt whiskies from the Spey valley form the heart of this blend. They contribute elegance, style and a sweet, fruity aroma. There is, in the blend, also a splash of robust malt from the Highlands and just a hint of peat from the islands. All of these malts are brushed, as it were, onto a canvas of five year old grain whisky. The resulting impression is of a blend which is both smooth and lively. It is rich with the sweet flavours of Speyside and it is also surprisingly refreshing.

"We called this blend Royal Silk" says Jim Milne "because it has the smooth texture and elegance of silk. It is fit for a king".
